I began my teaching career as a Special Education teacher almost three decades ago in 1996 and have worked with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade since. My passion is literacy and helping students with their Reading and Writing goals. My belief is that every person has something to say, and they just need help knowing how to get it on paper.
Currently, I teach 8th-grade English Language Arts and Reading. My students are from all over the world and are at different stages in learning English, but are still required to learn the grade-level curriculum. Seeing them develop their skills and grow in confidence is my motivation.
I have always made my teaching sessions engaging and effective as my goal has consistently been to help children find joy and success in their Reading and Writing!
