As someone who has always loved learning, sharing that passion with my students is one of my biggest joys. I have taught in many settings, beginning as a tutor in college and growing to design and teach the science curriculum for the National Park Service. I completed Teach for America as a high school science teacher, where I was able to make a lasting impact in our district by redesigning a science course to better meet the differentiated learning needs of our students. The opportunity to continue my involvement in education was core to the pursuit of my dream, to become a physician, and I am a current student at UT Southwestern Medical School. Having benefitted from amazing teachers and mentors to reach my dreams, I aim to always meet my students where they are to ensure that they have the foundation to reach their own.
